08/10/2017: October in the Wye Valley

October is with us and soon the days will be laced with dew, spiders webs and the occasional icy path. Yet despite the coolness of this season, you will get a beautifully warm welcome at The Rose and Crown in Tintern.

Known historically for the stunningly wonderful Abby, Tintern has many other offerings available to those visiting the area. No matter what time of year you choose to visit, you will never be disappointed in the Welsh countryside, the Wye snaking through it or, indeed, the gastronomical delights you'll receive at The Rose and Crown.

Speaking of the Wye, directly outside the front door of the pub is the river and so what other perfectly peaceful way can you think of to enjoy your pint than by sitting next to the river Wye on an autumn evening?

Make the right choice this autumn and visit us. Come for the day, the evening or overnight. Whatever you choose, you'll be thrilled you did.
